Luminare
Luminare is an evening handbag for women. The leather body is handmade in Italy, while the electronics are designed and assembled in San Francisco. The front panel holds a thin light box that makes interchangeable artwork glow softly from within. A single button on the back controls power and dimming, and a magnetic port allows recharging. The internal rechargeable battery lasts up to twelve hours and can also charge a mobile phone. The design joins art, fashion and electronics in one unified object.
Luminare Women's Evening Handbag by Evan Neumann was selected as an innovative example of fashion design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Luminare Women's Evening Handbag won the Bronze A' Design Award in Fashion and Travel Accessories Design in 2020. The A' Fashion and Travel Accessories Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design prize which celebrates excellent design of handbags, scarves, belts, luggage, hats, travel bags, cravats, gloves, wallets and more.
